Hayley qualified as a physiotherapist from WITS University in 2004 and is registered with BSc ( Physio) Wits registered with HPCSA , SASP and SANDTA
She completed her community service at Helen Joseph Hospital in Johannesburg. After working in various areas of physiotherapy, she decided her passion lay with paediatrics. In 2010, she completed her Neuro Developmental Therapy (NDT)/Bobarth course through SANDTA (South African Neurodevelopmental Therapy Association.)In 2013 she completed her advanced Bobath course in early detection and intervention of Neurological problems in children.
She treats a variety of paediatric conditions including :
- Cerebral Palsy
- Developmental delay
- Low muscle tone
- Acute and chronic chest conditions eg pneumonia, asthma
The treatment sessions are child specific, goal directed and fun. Therapy is administered through play and together with the family or caregivers. We tailor functional and fun home programs.
Hayley works closely with other paediatric health care professionals.
